Doctoral Scholarships in the Department Political and Cultural Change at University of Bonn

Scholarship Administration Participants will be expected to participate in interdisciplinary courses and discipline of the ZEF Doctoral Studies Program from October 1, 2011-February 2012. He will develop individual research proposals until February 2012. For data collection, 10-12 months of field research in West Africa will be required. During the period of writing-up the dissertation, candidates will be based at ZEF in Bonn.

Three years since August 2011 under a conditional acceptance of the confirmation by the funding agency. A Scholarship Administration awarded will include live, study, and travel expenses. Excellent degree (Diploma, Masters or Masters) in social anthropology, social geography, political science or sociology of development
• excellent writing skills in English needed for the dissertation
• an excellent knowledge of French is required to study in a francophone
state
• good knowledge of research methods required field
• experience in research is to gain
• work experience in West Africa is an advantage
